The history of the signed macaroons "Moriondo Virginio" goes back to the ancient times. It is connected to a legend whose protagonist, a sweet girl native of Sicily, told for love the secret recipe to F. Giacinto Moriondo, financial officer of court for Savoia house. |

It is certainly true that nowadays in the village of Mombaruzzo (AT) is situated a small family workshop, where many small and soft little sweet are daily taken out of the oven, perfumed, scented, of inimitable quality. In the Thirties, Giacinto Moriondo has opened a pastry shop in Milan, where in the 1935 Giuseppe Vicenzi went to work in, like butcher’s-boy.

In 1950 Giuseppe Vicenzi moved definitively to Mombaruzzo and after a short period of collaboration with Moriondo Virginio he bought out the activity with his wife Teresa. Giuseppe passes all his love for the profession to his son Luigi and, attained the pensionable age, he passes the responsibility of the macaroons’ creation to the young Luigi and Marina.

la tradizione continua |
The desire to continue the adventure pushes Luigi and Marina to look for new collaborations and in 2004 the new society with Laura and Massimiliano is born. Making treasure of the traditional experience, powerful for the present professionalism, we don’t feel successful. With the store of knowledge we have acquired till now, we are ready to adapt to modernity, to which we cannot escape. We want to face new experiences, sure of the potentiality of our product.
We are oriented toward the search of new markets, in order to satisfy the innumerable consumers’ requirements.
We want to continue to satisfy who knows us for a lifetime, but also to stimulate the curiosity of who has not discovered us yet.
We want to distinguish ourselves: even if we are conceited, we are convinced that
our macaroons are the BEST |
