In the village, ran through steep little street between high ancient palaces with renaissance portals, You could still find an ancient air. Running along these roads, it turns out obvious how the tradition of a classic recipe like that one of the macaroons can be remained intact until today. A heterogeneity of sensations and landscapes, rich of vineyards and woods with the fragrance of macaroons that You can taste, passing a little time between our hills, here in Mombaruzzo.
Arriving from Asti, through the road for Casalotto and Bazzana, on the square Pietro Romano, anciently called “of the Triangle”, You can note the Church of the Vergine Assunta, ancient private chapel of marquises Pallavicini, whose imposing Palace has square shape with a coat of arms of the same family and the Durazzo family on the portal.
Interesting is the Prato Palace in brickwork with octagonal turret that is situated nearly in front of the Church of Saint Antonio Abbot, with pinnacles. Inside numerous memorial tablets and coats of arms painted on the capitals of the pillars remember the noble lineages of Mombaruzzo .
Between the local events there are the Wine Party, that carries out at the end of June in the Social Wine cellar of the hamlet of Stazione, and the Five Days of Wine and Food, that carries out at the end of August in the hamlet of Bazzana.
